Solid ACT Light on ATA 186

I have a Cisco ATA 186 that was configured and working fine until yesterday. Now the ACT light is solid green...even when the network cable is unplugged. It will not display a link light on switch where it is connected...is it just dead? If you have any experience with this type of issue...any guidance would be appreciated.

Try giving shut , no shut commands in the link port and see if it blinks.

Re: Solid ACT Light on ATA 186

Being that you've had this problem for several months now, you may not need the answer. But, I had this same issue and got it worked out. On a 186, the green activity light is meant to be on while the unit is powered and blink during activity. On my unit, I knew it was healthy because the voce menu worked when I pressed the feature button. It could tell me the version of code it was running and everythig. I fnally hard set the speed and duplex on the port it was plugged into on the switch and it came up. I guess these things can't auto detect speed and duplex.
