Sound issue on a Cisco IP Phone 7960 with a 7914 Expansion Module.

Hi,

I have a CISCO IP Phone 7960 with a 7914 Expansion Module, so that the secretary can monitor and overview the persons that she has configured on the 7914 Expansion Module.

The only downside is that when a person calls one of the numbers that she has configured on the 7914 Expansion Module, and then her phone also rings.

Is there any way that I can configure her phone or expansion module, so her phone does not ring, if someone tries to call one of the persons on her list?

Instead of ringing, it should just flash red and yellow the button.

Kind regards,

Carl-Marius

Hi Carl-Marius,

You should be able to go to the individual DN settings for each

of the lines on the 7914 and change the Ring Setting (Phone Idle)

to Flash Only (from Brugsystemstandard).

Cheers!
