I have SPA508, 504 and 525 phones running SIP and when they receive the Bye, the phones don't hang up. I have heard this is by design, but just can't see why. Is there anyone out here who knows how to get the phone to hang up when it receives a Bye?
That doesn't sound right. I am not an expert in SPA phones but I believe they support SIP.
If this is the case then they should be able to disconnect once they receive a SIP BYE.
What's the call flow ?
Does it happen all the time ?
