You can get to this parameter by pressing settings button on the set, then 3 then 6. This is Ethernet parameter. As a default is set to 'no'

Re: span to PC port on CME

On a CME many options are configurable Globaly.

You may check out the command reference giude and table 17 in this for vaiours options.

To answer your question in short,

Under telephoney service.

service phone spanToPCPort 0

This should work.

Hope this helps.

Re: span to PC port on CME

Make sure to issue the create cnf command under telephony-service  after making the change. You'll then need to reset the phone in order for the change to take effect.

Hi,

Hi,

Its been old post, Im wondering, do we have to follow same procedure to capture packets for SIP phones ? or configuration needs to be done under voice register global ?

Cisco Employee

Yes, the same process works

Yes, the same process works for SIP phones. Just make sure to issue the "create profile" command under "voice register global" after setting the parameter under "telephony-service"
