Spead Dials

Hi

Trying to understand how you setup speed dials, in the phone button template you create a line for a speed dial and assign the phone template to the phone, how do you then configure the phone for the speed dial.

I can setup the various lines in the phone button template and get them assigned to the phone adding the directory lines however I not sure how to get the speed dial to appear on the phone.

Please advise.

You can do this by two ways.

a. Let the admin update speed dials on the remaining buttons on the phone

OR

b. let the user log into CCM user option web page and update speed dials. If you have a 7960 with 6 lines, (1 line, 5 speed dials slots in the phone button template), the first 5 speed dials that you configure via web will occupy the individual slots on the phone. The remaining 6 through 99 will have to be dialed using AbbrDial soft key with on-hook dialing.

If I set this up for say an IP communicator phone and assigned two lines and two speed dials. In the admin do you assign the number of the speed dial in the phone button template.

Once you do this will the phone appear with a line available as a speed dial.
