SRST VS MGCP FALLBACK

Hi Sahil,

SRST is used in case of Centralised Call Manager failure or WAN link failure wherein the remote site IP phones get registered to their respective local gateway.

while MGCP fallback comes in picture when remote site Gateway configured as MGCP loses its WAN conectivity across remote call manager which works as Call Agent and Gateway keeps working as H.323 GW.

MGCP GW fallback works in conjuction with SRST feature.

regds,

aman
