SRSV/CUMG Alternatives

With Cisco EOL'ing the SRSV/CUMG solution I'm looking for voicemail redundancy options for a client of ours. The features are to be integrated into a future release of Unity Connection 9, but roadmap has it 2nd/3rd quarter of 2013.

Anyhow, client topology is:

HQ:CUCM Cluster/Unity Connection (single) <-> 4 Mbps WAN <-> REMOTE: CME/SRST

Is it possible to add a Unity Connection secondary server to a CME/SRST only site and have it register to CME during WAN outages?
