Static after pressing 9 for outside line

One of our clients is complaining about receiving static after pressing 9 for an outside line. When 9 is pressed and the outside line tone is generated, the only device involved in the phone, correct? So this would imply a problem with the phone itself, cord, handset or interference from another device in the room and specificially exclude anything other than the phone?

Hi

Yes, with skinny CCM just sends the message to play secondary dial tone and it is generated by the phone itself.

Do you have that problem only with one phone or several? Have you changed the network locale for that phone?

The problem only occurred with 1 phone and it was only reported on a single day. The network locale has not changed. This leads us to believe that there was some sort of external interference, especially if the user was on speaker phone.
