Subscriber does not see the publisher CCM 4.0(2a) sr1

all, when I try modify a phone, and press update, I get the error:

Error Information

Cannot update data because the publisher is not available. Please try again later. (58)

Details:

Error No. -2147219910 (0x8004063a):

CDBLException Dump: [Cannot update data because the publisher is not available. Please try again later.]

Other than rebooting, how I can re-connect the publisher and subscriber. All services are running on both and both are ping-able.

Check lmhosts, hosts files

If you have DBLhelper try to run it

check CCM versions in both to be the same

Check Event viewer errors

Both servers same subnet?

Use Adminutility to see if passwords are synched

If servers are in production I will open a TAC case to diagnose properly
