Sun terminal @ 100mb to 7965, slow when phone negotiotates to 6509 @ 1000mb
I have a Sun Terminal that only supports 10/100 speed connected to a 7965 that is talking to a 6509 at 1000mb. This customer frequently loads large image files across the network and the screens are exhibiting massive "tearing". When I bypass the phone and plug the terminal directly into the switchport it negotiates to the 6509 at 100mb and works fine with no tearing. When I hardcode both the 7965 and 6509 switchport to 100mb the terminal works fine also. It also works as expected though a 7961 that only supports 10/100 speed.
Has anyone seen this before, and can offer a solution other than hardcoding the phone and switchport which would be an administrative nightmare going forward.
