t1 cas caller id mdmf format

Customer ordered a pstn circuit and ended up with a T1 CAS rather than PRI. So naturally the age old how does caller id work.

My understanding is that you need fgd ports to make this work, but I want to be sure of my ground. the carrier is saying they are delivering the number via mdmf format. Isn't that the old delimiter *ani*dnis* kind of thing?  My understanding is that ISR routers don't support this. Is that true?

thx again

Correct. Sometime CAS circuits require a little timing adjustments.

Ask explicitely... Different people use different terms.

I have a script for *ani*dnis* plus name association. Some custoemr were happy with it until finally switched to PRI.
