T1 controller Cannot assign cablelength?

Dear everybody,

I tried to copy other voice gateway config to a brand new Cisco 2821

the original config is

controller T1 0/0/0

cablelength long 0db

pri-group timeslots 1-24

however, when I tried

VG(config-controller)# cablelength long 0db

it returns %invalid input detected at "^" marker

when I type

VG(config-controller)# cablelength long ?

it only returns gain26 and gain36

Is there any criteria to enable the 0db optoin? or do i miss out something?

Thanks

Sam

That should be the default, what if you issue "sh run all" and look at the configuration?

Re: T1 controller Cannot assign cablelength?

It looks like the syntax has changed.  Try using "cablelength long gain26 0db".

Edited from gain36 to gain 26 as it looks like gain26 is the default.

T1 controller Cannot assign cablelength?

so ... the reason could be the IOS version ... does not have the command of >> cablelength long 0db ...

The syntax just changed for these newer versions of IOS.
