T1 controller down on an ISR 2851

Hi,

We came across this problem yesterday where we tried to migrate the 2 t1's from a pbx to a cisco ISR 2851 router voice gateway. The controllers were configured for CAS, framing sf, linecode ami. After the ds0 group was configured the controllers were both down. The service provider gave a normal rj45 straight through for use from their switch to our router but I am unsure if that is the correct pin out needed. Can someone clarify what is the correct pin out for use?

Show controller shows the below:

T1 0/0/0 is down.

Applique type is Channelized T1

Cablelength is long 0db

Transmitter is sending remote alarm.

Receiver has loss of signal.

alarm-trigger is not set

Soaking time: 3, Clearance time: 10

AIS State:Clear LOS State:Clear LOF State:Clear

Version info Firmware: 20080918, FPGA: 13, spm_count = 0

Framing is SF, Line Code is AMI, Clock Source is Line.

CRC Threshold is 320. Reported from firmware is 320.

Check cabling, you have lack of signal.

Yes must be a straight cable.

I swapped the cables with a known working one and still nothing, the one thing that I didnt do was to reload the router. Do you think that might have helped? The customer has their maintanence windows so there is very little time to get anything done.

The pin out is as follows:

ow,o,gw,b,bw,g,brw,br on both sides

Hi Rohini,

It could be a simple thing as incorrectly patched cables either from the 66 Block or even it could be at the Remote End.

Could you please log a case with the Service Provider and make sure that there is no cabling issue involved?

In my experiences with E1/T1 in which if there has been errs/Ckt goes down, mostly its the Service Porivider with a Cabling issue.
