T1 outbound IDD calls to certain country failed

Level 2

Hi

Call flow as below:

phone 8945 -----sip-----> CUCM ----- sip trunk ----> 2900 ----- T1 ---> PSTN

We have a site located in USA which expereience international call to certain country failed.

Calls to Japan is fine but failed to Germany and Brazil. This is really strange.

I have attached debug ccsip, debug voip ccapi inout and debug isdn q931 output on VG for both good call and bad calls.

As i am located in Australia, for test purpose, I have USA DN CFA to desired IDD number.

So call flow as 0280621560 calls 19173388643 (CFA to number starts with 9011).

Called number would be as below:

to Japan:  901181334695211    --- successful

to Germany:  9011491724173015 --- failed, busy signal

to Brazil:  9011551130486173  -- failed, busy signal

Any ideas?

Hi.

Japan is succesful because you are applying a numbering type "Unknown"

Germany and Brazile are presented as International

Try to change to unknown type calls to Japan and should work.

Hi Carlo

change numbering type to Unknown is something we can do locally or need to be done by carrier?

Hi Mink

What confuses me the most is there is only one dial-peer for all international outbound calls and there is no numbering plan type define in show run at all. Why Japan's number defined as Unknown type rather than International type?

here is my test translation output, i cant see any difference

Hi Carlo

sorry abt delay replying.

we had a discuss with carrier, they advised debug calls shows Unknown TON up until the transmitted Setup.

next plan is we are going to modify rule 13 with following command and test out:

rule 13 /^\+/ /011/ type any unknown plan any unknown

i will share the outcomes sooner or later

regards

Hi minkdennis

Issue resolved after we modify type and plan on translation rule.

Thx for help.
