Re: TAPS for CCME?

Hi Ken,

The closest thing to TAPS with CME is called "Extension Assigner". Have a look;

Creating Phone Configurations Using Extension Assigner

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmexasgn.html#wp1011070

Hope this helps!

Re: TAPS for CCME?

Hi,

I have used extension assigner (EA) in all my CME builds since it's release, it's great! It is a well hidden Cisco TCL script.

From the link Rob provided, you should be able to work through the configuration below and see the how it all ties together.

I always set the provision tag to equal the extension number so there is no confusion.

The MAC on the phone is the EA MAC address with last segment matching the ephone number.

Here is key sections of a working config,

application

service EA flash:EA/app-cme-ea-2.0.0.0.tcl

paramspace english language en

paramspace english index 0

paramspace english location flash:EA/

paramspace english prefix en

param ea-password 1000

dial-peer voice 1000 voip

service ea out-bound

destination-pattern *1000

session target ipv4:

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

codec g711ulaw

no vad

!

telephony-service

extension-assigner tag-type provision-tag

auto assign 110 to 120

!

ephone-dn 21 dual-line

number 121

description Fred's Line

!

ephone-dn 110

number 601

label Unassigned

.

.

ephone-dn 120

number 610

label Unassigned

!

ephone 21

description Freds phone

provision-tag 121

mac-address 02EA.EAEA.0021

type 7911

button 1:21

!

The only gotcha with the script it doesn't currently write the changes to the router, I understand from Cisco that is coming soon.

Have fun.

Cheers,

Mike.
