Dear all,
My company is prepare to deploy a Voice IP system on CME with CUE 2.3. We was leased an E1 line with 30 channels and bought a Cisco 2821 for this job. I just have a little theory and no experience about this solusion so i need a task list step-by-step to deploy such as E1 parameter for ISP do,power infrastructure (with grouding), dial plan, tftp profiles for IP Phones...which have to do first. Could anyone who has experienced share the task list or templates for me? Thanks in advance!

I guess what Phan wants to know is how to configure the "E1". For this one would need to know first: Is it ISDN PRI (hopefully) ? Have you got DID service from telco ? If yes for how many digits ? Do you want outgoing calls to present the main number or individual extension as CLID ? And few more questions perhaps.
I'm thinking of writing a practical guide on this subject alone.

I will give you an advice that is not in any book. If possible, assign extensions starting with a digita that is not used in your contry dialplan.
For example, if landlines number all begins with 4, an cellphones with 3, assign extensions starting with 2 followed by 2 or 3 more digits.
This will allow to make outgoing calls without any prefix digits, thing that not only makes calling faster, but also makes it easier to call-back and click-to-dial.
