to set a default customized wallpaper on a 9951 (CUCM 7.1(3))

Hi,

I'm trying to force all new phones to choose a custom wallpaper (Company logo) by default.

I have added the logo and the thumbnail with no problems and can choose it.

I have also removed all other options on the List.xml file.

However, there seems to be two wallpapers onboard on the phones and the first one of them is always choosen as the default.

Is there a solution to this?

Regards,

John

John,

One option is manual: You can provision the wallpaper on the phone prior to or at the time of deployment. This is probably not desirable due to the overall time investment.

I cover other options here:

Note, the last time I checked for alternatives to the approach I discuss in the above article. I haven't tested this on a 9951 yet. I do have one in my lab and will check it in a bit.

No, there's no way to set a default background.

The default backgrounds are the ones that come embedded in the phone FW and cannot be changed.

If you want to bulk change the backgrounds all you need to do is search CSC and you'll find plenty of threads on that.
