Transcode does not work Cisco call manager express

Hi all,

If somebody can help me please about transcode on CISCO CCME.

I have configured transcoder on CISCO and transcoder is Active. But when I get INVITE on my CISCO with codec

g711alaw, transcoder does not work. I have configured on CISCO automated attendant which can work only with g711ulaw. I think that it should work?

Re: Transcode does not work Cisco call manager express

You should never try to transcode between G.711 ulaw and A-law, because is not necessary.

The system converts to the right version automatically under all conditions.

Moreover, all Cisco producs, including CME and CUE, use ulaw as onlG.711 version, and for that they must be configured. That is true even if you are outside US where A-law is used on PSTN.
