I am having two trunks to my remote location. One in G.711 and other in G.729.
I am having analog phones connected to my VG224. I have not configured any transcoders in my Call Manager.
For IP phones I know we don't need any transcoders as this will be done by the IP Phone itself.
1) Is it the same case with these analog phone also?
2) And since the call control is done by the Cisco Call Manager, does Call Manager require any transcoding resource for calls between G.711 and G.729 devices. If yes, in this case as we don't have any transcoding resource in the Call Manager, will the calls get dropped?
