Transcoding Issue on Transfered call

We have a call that comes into the "Main Office" g711.  This call is transfered to the branch and transcoded on the the Main office router to g729.  This call completes without issue.  If the call has to transfered back to the "Main Office", one way audio occurs.  The Ip phone user can't hear the pstn caller, but the pstn caller can hear the ip phone user.  Routing appears to be good between all locations.  I have changed the region for the branch to g711 to remove the need for the the transcoder and everything works fine.  What could be the issue that would cause one way audio on a call the should now be released from the transcoder, which after the transfer a show sccp connections on the Main office shows nothing, therefore the transcoder is out of the call.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Transcoding Issue on Transfered call

Have you verified the router providing the resources for transcoding? If you have more than 1 transcoding resources, try changing the order in your Hardware MRG, to verify that the issue is not from a specific device.

Re: Transcoding Issue on Transfered call

When the call is transfered to the branch I can see the instance with a show sccp connections on the main office router.  Is this what you are referring to?

EDIT***

I have also notice that a show voip rtp connections show this entry:

5     80714      80713      19912    0        10.17.142.65                           0.0.0.0

The 10.17.142.65 is the H323 gateway that recieved the call.

For some reason the router can't put the call legs back togetther.

Thanks,

Re: Transcoding Issue on Transfered call

Are you binding your H323 interface? Can you post the H323 routers config? Please explain the call flow, including each GW.

Re: Transcoding Issue on Transfered call

Yes we are binding the h323 interface to the voice vlan.

interface GigabitEthernet0/0.100

encapsulation dot1Q 100

ip address 10.17.142.65 255.255.255.192

h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr 10.17.142.65

H323 gw call comes in PRI, dialpeer specifies codec g711, call is answered @ same locations as PRI/GW, no transcoding takes place.  Call is transfered to branch phone (all phones registered to same cluster), call is trancoded on H323 gw to g729 and calls completes with 2 way audio.  If call is transfered back to branch where it landed originally 1 way audio occurs.  PSTN caller can hear the IP phone user but no audio from PSTN to IP phone.

Thanks,

Joe
