Transcoding/MTP over CM-CME Trunk

Site A and B are in the same CM cluster. CM cluster communicates to the CME site using a GK. All inter-site communications have to use g729. I have to use MTP on the trunk for the supplementary services but it is creating transcoding problems for me as MTP on CM only supports g711. I configured a transcoder at Site A and Site A can talk to CME site properly by using the transcoder. Site B is configured to use G729 with Site A/CME and with the transcoder. When I try to call from Site B to CME , calls are failing as the transcoder is rejecting the call. I am not sure why it rejects the call but I am assuming that as both legs of the call are trying to use the same codec (g729) , it does not find itself useful and does not want participate to the call. If I configure the router as software MTP with g729 support, it may start to work but I want to eliminate that configuration. Is there any easier way or am I making something wrong here ?
