I'm using a CME device with CUE 8.6.6. I have an AA set up that allows transfers to extensions.
When I call into CME and press the 4-digit extension, it goes to the phone and if no one answers it goes to voicemail.
If I call into the AA and press the same 4-digit extension, it goes to the phone but if no one answers everything goes silent.
I've poured through a "debug ccsip all" and I've seen CME and CUE negotiating G.711ulaw. I've also seen that the diversion line in the INVITE is correct. It seems like the call is being transfered back to CUE, but CUE doesn't know what to do with it from there. Unfotunately, I'm not as well-versed in CUE traces and doen't know which ones to call up.
Below is what I have in "voice service voip" on CME (IPs hidden to protect the innocent)
Turned out the issue was a bit larger than I reasoned.
One thing that I ommited, because I didn't think it was relevant, was that the CME router was connected to a CUCM system as a gateway. Calls coming in from the outside came through the PSTN, went through an MGCP router for the CUCM system, was routed to CUCM, was routed by a pattern in CUCM to the trunk connected to the H.323 (CME) gateway, and was sent by CME to the AA in CUE.
I figured that since CME/CUE had the call, interaction with CUCM was not going to be part of the solution, but it turned out I was wrong. I got help from TAC on this. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the entire explanation out of the engineer, but he tried doing H.323 Fast Start on the connection from CUCM to CME and it didn't fix the issue. But when we changed the connection between CUCM and CME to a SIP trunk and enabled Early Offer, everything suddenly worked.
If anyone can give me an explanation for THIS I'd appreciate it!
