Hi,

I'm in the process of carrying out MeetingPlace Express upgrade remotely via SSH.

One of the steps is to transfer the upgrade file onto MeetingPlace Express.

The file is in the a local windows pc in the c:\mpxupgrades directory.

I get the following error when I try to transfer the file:

[root@mpxSystem upgrades]# scp c:\mpxupgrade\CUMPE_Upgrade-2.0.2.126.bin /upgrades

ssh: c: Temporary failure in name resolution

[root@mpxSystem upgrades]#

Please could somebody tell me what the correct syntax is:

IP address of pc where upgrade patch is 172.30.4.240

IP address of mpx is 172.30.200.11

Thanks

Make sure you have Change to the root user by entering su - and enter the root password.

In the Connect to Remote Host dialog box, enter the following values:

Host Name: IP address of your Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Express system

User Name: mpxadmin

Port Number: 22

Authentication Method: leave as

Hi

The installation guide assumes you have the SCP client/daemon running on your computer.

I managed to get round the problem:

1) Log into MPX via WinSCP software - you can only login as mpxadmin; su - does not work:

You can download WinSCP here:

http://winscp.net/eng/download.php

2) SSH to MPX, switch to root then move file into a partition that has lots of space.

3) use chmod 777 on the file to change permissions.
