Translation Patterns, wildcards, etc

Greetings,

I am trying to configure some translation patterns for few sites that are coming online in the next few weeks. I would like read up more about configuring the wildcards, patterns, etc - Is there some documentation about this?

Right now one the sites just got assinged

713-468-3757 thru 3786

I know I can problably do 713-468-37[5-8]X but what about if some dials 713-468-3759 - that would fall off the range of numbers assigned to this location and users that dial that number  might not be able to call from inside the company.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Re: Translation Patterns, wildcards, etc

Hello,

Take a look on the SRND of the CUCM.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/8x/dialplan.html

X means any number, and [x–y] this means a range notation that digit can be anyone inside this range.

Rate this if helps you.

Thanks!

Translation Patterns, wildcards, etc

Hi,

I think for the range you have quoted you need to use 3 translations

713-468-375[7-9]

713-468-37[6-7]X

713-468-378[0-6]

acampbell,

Yes, Thanks for the quick turn around. That's what we need to put in place. Thanks again.
