I have been reading up on configuring Dynamic Hunt Groups for a while today and I think i must be missing a step because I can't seem to get this feature to work in my lab. I have a client who would like to be able to log in and out of three different Hunt groups. So I thought i would try configuring one to start with. I have attached my config below:
telephony-service max-ephones 110 max-dn 288 ip source-address 10.91.1.1 port 2000 system message Services Branch load 7945 SCCP45.8-4-2S.loads load 7965 SCCP45.8-4-2S.loads time-zone 48 time-format 24 date-format dd-mm-yy max-conferences 8 gain -6 hunt-group logout HLog moh music-on-hold.au web admin system name admin secret 5 $1$typo$R61e7Q.pbz/fe7GpVsFnS/ dn-webedit transfer-system full-consult fac standard create cnf-files version-stamp 7960 Dec 14 2009 15:44:33 ! ! ephone-dn 1 number 1000 ! ! ephone-dn 2 number 1001 ! ! ephone-dn 3 number 1002 ! ! ephone-dn 98 number 1112 label reception broadcast description reception preference 2 ephone-hunt login ! ! ephone-dn 99 number 1111 label reception broadcast description reception preference 1 ephone-hunt login ! ! ephone 1 mac-address 0026.CB3B.480D type 7945 button 1:1 2:98 ! ! ! ephone 2 mac-address 0027.0DBF.4CB1 type 7945 button 1:2 2:99 ! ! ! ephone 3 mac-address 0027.0DBF.4DBE type 7945 button 1:3 ! ! ! ephone 4 ! ! ephone-hunt 1 peer pilot 1003 list *, *, *
As you can see I have created two ephone-dns for the hunt group:ephone-dn 98 and ephone-dn 99 and i have added these DNs to the 2nd button on two 7945s (ephone 1 & 2). Now my problem is the HLog button appears to be greyed out on both ephone1 & 2.
I think i might be missing something in regards to FAC. I have enabled FAC standard in the telephony service but i'm not 100% if i have this right.

The below trick might come handy when you have to add a new node to a cluster but you don't have or is unsure of the security password for the publisher. This procedure has been around for ages.
1) Login into the CLI of the Publisher.
