Two Unity Not failover in the same domain

Hi

I have to install a new Unity server in the same Domain but with a new name and new ip address.

We are doing that because we do not trust the old server that have the version 3.1.5 with only 512mb.

My question is, can the Schema be extended with the new server without causing problem at the first server.

I know is strange but...

Re: Two Unity Not failover in the same domain

Hello Frederick,

Schema extensions in newer releases of Unity are always backwards compatible with earlier versions. So your new Unity server will peacefully co-exist in the same domain with the 3.1 version.

You can find details and chronology of changes to schema extensions here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/white/paper/5xcudatadirectory.html#wp40268

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Michael.
