UC500 CUE No Response

Hi Prof.

I am setting up a new uc500. Call in and out are working fine. But I cannot get voicemail/AA working. 'debug ccsip mess' shows CUE cannot find the the call handling numbers that have already been configured and enabled. 202 is an extenstion and 400 is voicemail access number.

Can someone advise me the next step to troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Do you ahve the following commands in the global configuration of the router?

voice service voip

allow-connection h323 to sip

allow-connection sip to h323

If so, would it be possible to look at your configuration.

Yes. Actually it is regestered with a SIP proxy server. In and out calls are fine.

Revelant conf is attached.

When dialing the voice access number, a message saying 'The number you have dialed is not in service. Please check the number and try again. Thank you.'

Thanks.

It appears that Cisco Unity Express is sending a "404/Not Found" message in response to the SIP Invite to number 400. As seen below:

Jul 9 23:48:43.575: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/SIP/Msg/ccsipDisplayMsg:

Received:

SIP/2.0 404 Not Found <------- Here is the Not Found Message.

Possible Reasons:

Called number in the INVITE message is incorrect do to an unintentional or incorrect translation. I will not know for sure without seeing the Unity Express Configuration. Can you send us the "show ccn trigger" off the CUE. Also, you can run the following debug on the CUE module to see what Unity Express is doing.

trace ccn stacksip dbug <--- to log the messages

show trace buffer tail <---- to see the messages.

Please send the trace when done.

Thanks Kelvin,

Please find attached the cue config. No trace ouput is seen excep the following, which came out not when I was dialing.

UC500-CUE# sh trace buffer tail

If a call is placed to the module while the commands in the earlier post are enabled, you see something along the lines of this:

This document will explain:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/design/CP_CIPExpress/cipce20.html#wp1014106

Hi Kelvin,

I found where the problem is, but have no way to solve the problem.

CME is registered with a SIP proxy server. The follwoing config does the job:

===

voice service voip

sip

registrar server expires max 3600 min 3600

outbound-proxy ipv4:58.28.20.150

no update-callerid

....

sip-ua

authentication username xxx password xxx

no remote-party-id

retry invite 2

retry register 10

timers connect 100

registrar dns:as.wxcnz.net expires 3600

sip-server dns:as.wxcnz.net

host-registrar

=============

When I remove the command 'outbound-proxy ipv4:58.28.20.150', the AA starts working, but cannot make outgoing calls.

In the non-working debug sip invite message, the 'via' field is different from the working invite:

non-working:

INVITE sip:400@10.1.10.1:5060 SIP/2.0

Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 58.28.76.58:5060;branch=z9hG4bK8F11967

From: "Liza HR" <>202@as.wxcnz.net>;tag=28D68F8-1E99

To: <400>

working:

INVITE sip:400@10.1.10.1:5060 SIP/2.0

Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 10.1.10.2:5060;branch=z9hG4bK8FF1EB5

From: "Liza HR" <>202@as.wxcnz.net>;tag=29031B0-2046

To: <400>

I tried to replace the ccn subsystem sip config "10.1.10.2" with "58.28.76.58", but still not working.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

CUE file attached.
