Unable to login agents on CAD

Looking for answers to this problem:

On 3 different UCCM 7.1.2.21900-5 / UCCX 7.0 installations, we get the problem that users are unable to login to their agent.

When trying to access the systems for troubleshooting, it reveals itself, that the UCCM web pages doesn't show and that login to UCCX “AppAdmin” also fails.

SSH to publisher and restarting the “Cisco Tomcat” service solves the problem.

Is this a known bug, and is it fixed in the latest release?

When looking into the Tomcat log files, the “localhost.yyyy-mm-dd.log” file contains a host of:

SEVERE: Servlet.service() for servlet org.apache.jsp.WEB_002dINF.pages.directoryNumber.directoryNumber_002dcontent_jsp threw exception

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

errors, this escalates until the time where we get the report that login isn't possible. Then we see this in the log file:

Running the same version of CUCM and the identical thing happens. After a period of time, CUCM web page will quit responding and phone services will not be available for login. Tomcat restart resolves the issue. Any ideas. I have been looking into bugs but nothing that really fits this symptom.

I had the same problem. Upgrade to 7.1.2.31900-1 corrected the issue. This version seems to be a stable release. No more issues with UCCX nor Phone Services.

So you upgraded and AXL and other tomcat issues went away? Ours are sporadic on 7.1.2

Just wanted to check with you to confirm. I have UCCX and 5 servers in my cluster. (2) of them work fine with AXL, the three do not. Also, a couple of mine CUCM servers get super slow HTTP GUI responses. It works, but slow. The others, are fine.??
