Once the call comes to CUBE on leg 1 it sends the call forward to Leg 2 [which is between CUBE and ITSP]. Ideally ITSP should respond with SIP reponse to a requst made, but it is not happening. Below is the analysis
++++

This Invite is sent 3 times to ITSP and does not get any valid sip response

------>>> This call uses below DP

dial-peer voice 200 voip
description WAN Outgoing local Calls to Bell
translation-profile outgoing Bahman_outbound
destination-pattern 5146027093
rtp payload-type comfort-noise 13
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:207.236.237.219:5060

+++++++++++
Now two other invites are sent after above 3 invites to the dial-peer voice 102 voip and dial-peer voice 103 voip with destination IP 10.89.0.3 and 10.9.0.15.

Conclusion :-
1- Need to figure out why Bell is not responding with 100 trying , 180 ringing etc. to the SIP Invite message for the dialled no. 5146027093.
2- For the other 2 invites sent to CUCM 2 and 3, there must be nothing configured there so as to route the call.

Advising you to check with BELL [with dest. IP 207.236.237.219] and advise them either to respond to the SIP requests or advise what are they expecting so that changes can be done on CUBE or CUCM.

From the logs your ITSP is not responding to your invite. One possible reason is that they may not be able to connect to you in this IP

10.0.64.199..

This is the IP in your via header and that's where responses will be sent to.

You may need to apply sip bind statement to originate traffic to your ITSP on the correct interface from the CUBE

Please rate all useful posts

Thanks guys,

10.0.64.199 is my Loopback0 IP address. This IP is not visible by the provider. The only visible address by ITSP is the GigabitEthernet0/0/1 which has 192.197.135.179. When I bind the loopback address to the outbound dialpeer (dial-peer 200 in my case) , I can see the call gets into the CUBE but fails to connect to ITSP. As soon as I bind the outbound dial peer to interface GigabitEthernet0/0/1 which is visible by the ITSP the call doesn't even reach the CUBE and I hear a fastbusy.

sbc1#show call leg active summary
G<id>  L<id>     Elog A/O FAX T
Codec       type        Peer Address       IP R<ip>:<udp>

Total call-legs: 0

The Digit Analyzer shows that the call hits the CUBE via lq 500-sbc1.tel.loto-quebec.com trunk.

The trunk from CUCM to CUBE is pointed to interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0 which is visible by CUCM but  not by the ITSP. As mentionned the only reachable interface by the ITSP is the GigabitEthernet0/0/1.

Do you guys see any issues with the config of the CUBE?

Thanks,

MK

Can someone please look at the CUB config and let me know if I am missing anything?

Thanks,

MK

Mighty King,

Looking at your configs I dont see your correct sip bind statements.

Also from the last logs you attached I dont see the cvall hitting the gateway as you said.

Here are the things  to do.

1. Create an inbound dial-peer for calls coming from CUCM ( I can see that you are using incoming called number .) You cant do this in this case because you need to apply different bind statementes to the interface that connects to BELL and CUCM

So create a new inbound dial-peer fro calls coming in from CUCM. Apply the correct sip bind matching the interface that is local to CUCM

2. Create a new inbound dial-peer for calls coming in from BELL ( be  more specific, dont use incoming called number .) apply the correct sip bind using the interface that is reachabe to/from BELL

3. If calls are not hitting your gateway after changing the sip bind statement, you need to change the ip address of your SIP trunk to that matching the interface local to CUCM which you used for binding sip traffic in step 1 above

4. Ensure that you have run on all active cm node on your sip trunk and use server-group to assing all your cucm nodes. Then create dial-peers that sends calls to the server-group in the order of your preference

5. Once you have done all these, reset your sip trunk, verify that your sip trunk is up and then place a test call. If it still fails, then send only "debug ccsip mess"

Please rate all useful posts

Hi Ayodeji

Your reply is very much apprciated.

I modified the config to match what you posted. The debug shows there's no matching outgoing Dial peer while the show dialplan displays the matching dialpeers. I have two outgoing dialpeers which match 95146027093 and 5146027093. Please find attached the new running config.

MK,

The call is matching the correct dial-peer and BELL is responding, however BELL is rejecting the call with 404 not found. This generally means that the dialled number is incorrect. Looks like you need to send more digits to BELL to complete this call.

Thank your very much for taking the time and replying. I had to play with headers to match what provider was expecting to receive. Now the inbound and outbound calls can be received and the phones ring but there's no audio. The call terminates after 5 seconds from being answered. I tried to engage the MTP in the trunk configuration page but no luck. Here's the debug for an outbound call:

Hi Ayodeji,

I reloaded the voice gateway and checked the Media Termination Point checkbox and reset the trunk. Both incoming and outgoing calls are working now. I personally don't believe to engage MTP for each incoming and outgoing calls. Could you please advise?

Thanks,

MK

I agree you should not use MTP for normal calls.

Looking at your previous logs, I see that media is been sent to this ip address:

c=IN IP4 10.9.0.15 instead of this192.197.135.179

When you sent INVITE to BELL you are telling them to send your media an ip address that is not reachable. Please check your SIP bind again for media..What is this IP address 10.9.0.15 --it looks like this is your cucm ip address..I am not sure why this is been used. Please remove MTP, reset the trunk and do another test call..send the logs and your updated config if it doesnt work

10.9.0.15 is the CUCM Publisher. I have no idea why the Publisher is being used!!!

I disabled the MTP, reset the trunk and took the debug ccsip messaages. I guess the reason why calls requiring MTP is because the regoin used for trunk usess codecs G722 and G711. The G722  codec in service parameter is enabled. Here's the output of the debug ccsip:

As soon as I disable the MTP on the trunk, the call gets disconnected. The phone rings and gets disconnected 5 seconds after being answered.
