I have an active directory 2003 running on a 64 bit windows 2008 server as my global catalogue. I am getting a windows error when trying to run the ADSchemaSetup.

Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.

We have run into this same issue and we resolved it by moving the Schema master FSMo to a 32bit machine, running the Schema update on that machine and then moving the role back
We were told that the schema update would not work on a 64-bit machine.

i just ran into the same issue
by reading the thread i see that they move the
schema fso role to a 32 bit windows 2008 server is that correct

has anyone had the issue having exchange 2007
running on windows 2008 as well?

You need exchange sp1 rollup 4 or later.
