Unity Connection 9.1 and Office 365

Does UM integration to Office 365 require that the hosted Exchange be AD integrated to the customer onsite AD with ADFS?

Or can the AD/Directory in the cloud be standalone from the internal AD?

Thx

I hope this answers your question

https://communities.cisco.com/thread/31729

Single Inbox Fails with Office 365 When ADFS Is Used Added December 12, 2012 The Single Inbox may not work, if you are integrating Cisco Unity Connection with Office 365 for Single Inbox where the Unity Connection Account used to access Office 365 was created on active directory and imported into Office 365, as Connection is not equipped to handle ADFS. To get the Single Inbox working, the account must be created locally on the Office 365 side.

Here is a setup doc:

Hmm. not really. I understand the the UM service account needs to be created locally in Office 365 to use ADFS but my question is really

Is ADFS/SSO required to have UM with O365?

O365 supports 3 levels of account management

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh852415.aspx

Just wondering if all 3 methods are supported.

Re: Unity Connection 9.1 and Office 365

I hear you and what I can gather from research is that not all 3 is supported. But hey i am no office 365 wizz
