Hello all,
We upgraded our CUCM 6.x, Unity 2.x from MCS to UCS 9.1.
We got one license file from license team which uploaded into ELM page successfully. License Team confirmed that issued license contain cucm & unity connection both.
My question, after uploading license into ELM page, do we need to add additional license into Unity Connection also (as we use to do in earlier releases for VM Ports, VM Box, CTI) ?
Because we are getting license expire notification on the main page of Cisco Unity Connection.

Hi Anis,
Have u created two ELM : one for call manager and one for unity connection .Both have been installed on CUCM PUB and unity server respectively .
you need additional license only when u need to have extra features or increase ports/mailboxes.

Simply add the UCXN instance on your ELM server and synchronize.

this means the configuration would be intact and is something else.
can u cross-check the status of services in Cisco unity connection serviceability ----tools- service management?
a. Connection Conversation Manager
b. Connection License Manager server
c. connection DB

+5 to my friend Aman here for his diligence!
I would try going to the COS that these users are tied to
and turn off anything related to Speechview. You need a
special license to use that feature which it looks like you
don't have.
Once completed - re-synchronize

Yes i added CUCM & Unity into ELM, Its synchronized successfully. It means i have installed unity connection license correctly.
Then why i am getting expired license prompt on main page of cisco unity connection ?
Any idea ?

Hi Anis,
can u please share the snapshot of expiry message along with monitoring---dashboad and license usage[table view and chart view] of ELM ?
Do u get any message for CUCM as well?

Hi Anis,
this means the license file uploaded or provided by licensing team is not working.
actually , the grace period is just for 60 days and it is now touching 75 days.
can u login in ELM and check license management----licenses for the file which u have uploaded is correct or not and is showing as CURRENT in brackets.

Hi Anis,
what is the exact UCXN version u are using?
Did u purchase 100 CUWL messaging license ? but same is showing used in Basic Messaging [70]

Its unity conneciton 9.1.2.10000-10
Actually we upgraded our unity connection from 2.x MCS to 9.1.2 UCS. We were entitled for 100 license for Unity Connection 2.x which i shared with Cisco License Team, based on the provided info (old mac address & license file for 2.x version ) i got one license file from cisco which i uploaded into ELM system & shared the info to you.
Since i was entitled for 100 Messaging licenses in earlier version, i am expecting the same for new version. But in License Usage page its showing 70 License for Speechview only & no license for Basic Messaging.

Ok,
no aman its not working now ... if no one picks the call instead of going towards voice messages (after specific time duration) its keep ringing ... what needs to be done next ?
I tried restarting unity connection but no benefit.
Any advise would be highly appreciated.
Parallely I have raised to the license team & waiting for product manager's reply.

Hi Anis,
Hope your configuration is fine. Voice Mail Ports are registered and users are assigned Voice Mail profile.

It was working fine & we didnt receive any complain from client earlier.
This issue appeared all of sudden.
As per the bug you are expecting that licenses are installed & working fine only reporting is wrong & system SHOULD WORK without any problem ?
