Unity Connection playing incorrect VM greeting

We had a user (user1) with ext 6000, they left the company and a new user (user2) came in.  We were unable to delete the user through gui, we did it through cli.  Now when someone calls 6000 it doesn't go to user2's vm mailbox, instead we here user1's greeting.  Although user1 is no longer in the system.

If anyone has encountered this issue or can suggest any troubleshooting steps, please let me know.

thansk,

I assume that you failed to delete all the dependencies from the user by doing that, I would try to delete the user again, and if no avail, call TAC as this might require root access to delete.
