Re: Unity Disk Space

Hi James,

Here is a related doc;

Shrink the Cisco Unity Database Configuration Example

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_configuration_example09186a008075ba49.shtml

Hope this helps!

Rob

Re: Unity Disk Space

You can use the following SQL commands to shrink the Unity DB:

C:\osql -E

1>use UnityDb

2>go

1>backup log UnityDb with no_log

2>go

1>dbcc shrinkdatabase (unitydb)

2>go

exit

-----------------

You can use the same commands for teh ReportDB just replace the Unitydb with Reportdb

Also the transactional logs fill the hard drive so keep an eye on those files, you can delete them manually without any problem, to locate them follow this link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_tech_note09186a00800c6f5f.shtml

Finally keep in mind that Unity needs at leat 400 MB of free space to run correctly.
