Unity Error

Hello All,

We are getting below error message for one of our customer. We had a dial-plan change on Call Manager and have to change all the subscriber mailbox. We complete all the changes and after a while all the changes were reverting back to the previous one. We noticed below error message.

The Cisco Unity service that monitors Active Directory (AvDSAD) failed to create object.

Type: AVOBJECTTYPE_MAILUSER

Name: 2007Test

Reason: E_AV_DC_ALREADY_EXISTING: <unknown>Domain Controller: dltkdc2.ads.deltek.com

Possible causes include: 1) Network connectivity to the Domain Controller. 2) Insufficient rights for The Cisco Unity service that monitors Active Directory (AvDSAD) account.

Ensure that The Cisco Unity service that monitors Active Directory (AvDSAD) can contact the Domain Controller and has sufficient rights to create objects. If the problem persists, enable all the micro traces for The Cisco Unity service that monitors Active Directory (AvDSAD) in the Unity Diagnostic Tool. Report the problem to Cisco TAC and include the diagnostic log.

Try the following:

1. Go to Active Directory Users and Computers.

b. Select View > Advanced Features in order to see the Security tab in the

account properties.

c. Go to the OU and double-click on the user account to bring up the Properties page.

d. Click the Security tab.

e. Make sure that the Allow inheritable permissions from parent to propagate to this

object checkbox is checked.

f. Run Permissions Wizard to propagate the proper permissions to all the users.

2. Add the account the AvDSAD service is running under to the Domain Admins Group.

3. Restart the AvDsAd and AvdsGlobalcatalog service one by one
