Unity Express 8.6 new install fails

All,

I have a new SRE out of the box and I'm trying to install Unity Express 8.6 on it.  The CME is version 9.1 and I was able to install that with no problems.

Here is the command I'm using.

service-module ism 0/0 install url ftp://cisco:cisco@10.32.7.250/cue-vm-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.6.pkg script cue-vm-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.6.pkg.install.sre

I'm using FileZilla server with a plain set up but it seem to just be stuck in a loop.  See below.

I thought it was just a long install but I came back an hour later and it was still doing this.  Any ideas why its not taking?

Re: Unity Express 8.6 new install fails

Do the installation from CUE console using installer image and TFTP.

Re: Unity Express 8.6 new install fails

Hi,

Try using the boot-helper method. If that doesn't work, try the method suggested by Paolo above.

If still no luck, please open TAC Case, for further investigation.

Boot-helper, and installer image, are the same thing.

Re: Unity Express 8.6 new install fails

I think for the ISM module, you should be using the cue-vm-k9.ise.8.6.6 package, not the sme package. They are different.

And as long as you have all the files needed in the root directory of your FTP server, and you have anonymous FTP enabled, it should work fine.

No, ISE (Integrated Service Engine) is not the same as SM (Service Module) or ISM (Integrated Service Module).

ForSRE (Service Ready Engine) modules you need:

Package  payload containing all data and executable files associated with the  Cisco Unity Express with VoiceMail application on Services Ready Engine  hardware modules.

cue-vm-full-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.6.prt1
