Unity Express - How do you permit transfers from user voicemail greetings to any extension in CME?

Title says it all.

Unity Express 8.6 (CME 9.1)

How do you allow extensions to be entered while a subscriber's voicemail greeting is playing? There's no AA, just end-user voice mailboxes that need to permit extension dialing to number not associated with other subscribers. I see single-digit entries to fixed extensions (e.g., "press 1 to transfer to extension 1000" etc.), but how can I permit 3 or 4-digit dialing to any extension like we do with ease in Unity Connection?

Thanks,

Brian

Yes, though if your auto attendant uses a "Extension To User" step to dial by extension then all extension numbers you want to allow callers to dial must at least have a user associated with them, even if the user doesn't have a mailbox.  This is used to block Toll-fraud where a caller dials into an auto attendant and dials a PSTN number from it.

It isn't possible with Unity Express.  As you said, you can specify caller-input 0-9, but not "dial extension".  You could work around this by saying in the greeting "Press 1 to dial by extension" and transfer it to an Auto Attendant.

Thanks, makes sense. Does the CUE AA support transfers to extensions not associated to subscriber accounts?
