I am trying to design a solution with CCM 6.O on 7815 machine. Voice mail requirement is very small number, and I am trying to use Unity Express here.
I have a complicated LAN with lot of VLANs.
Is there any problem to install Unity Express on multi-VLAN environment ?

No, there is no problem with this. You will just need to be sure that you can route between VLANs where necessary.

Hi Brandon,
Thanks for the ansewr. The reason why I ask this quesiton is that, when refering to the document "Cisco Unified Communications SRND Based on Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.x" on CCO link:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/6x/uc6_0.html
On Unity Express chapter it says;
"Best Practices for Deploying Cisco Unity Express -
Ensure that the IP phones having Cisco Unity Express as their voicemail destination are located on the same LAN segment as the router hosting Cisco Unity Express. "
I am hust trying to wee whether this is an essential requirement and if we do not meet the requiremnt, what kind of issues will be there.
Nalaka.

It is a best practice to have your phones and CUE in the same VLAN. In my mind, there would have to be a very compelling reason to deviate from this. That being said, I believe the statement indicating the the phones and CUE must be located on the same LAN segment is referring to the fact that having subscriber phones separated from CUE by a WAN link is unsupported as mentioned in the following link. I don't believe this is referring to separation by VLAN.

Hope this helps.
