Unwanted first digit stripping

Hi

I'm using a cisco 1751V as ISDN <-> VoIP gateway in conjunction with Asterisk PBX (trunk to trunk)

When Asterisk user dials an outside called number i.e. 0123456789 it is forwarded via SIP trunk to 1751V thus through ISDN BRI card following the dial-peer:

dial-peer voice 10 pots

destination-pattern 0T

port 0/0 (the BRI card)

However, the BRI composed number is 123456789

As 0123456789 is delivered by Asterisk (sip trunk tracing) I suppose Cisco strips someway the first digit , in fact adding another 0 to asterisk dialed string, the call is placed right.

Why and where the first digit is stripped by Cisco ?

How to solve this ??

Thank you

Re: Unwanted first digit stripping

Hi,

Your pots dial peer has

destination-pattern 0T

The number in front of the "T" is dropped by default.

To solve your issue rewrtie your dial peer as:-

!

dial-peer voice 10 pots

destination-pattern 0T

port 0/0

no digit-strip

!

Alex.
