Update MOH File - File Not Loaded

Hi everyone,

I've come across this before but unfortunately have forgotten the solution and can't find it again. We use our branch MGCP gateways as a multicast music on hold resource and I'm currently updating the music on hold file.

Unfortunately, show ephone summary, is insisting there is no music file loaded. If I remember correctly, there was a specific order of steps to use when updating the MOH file but I can't get it.

I've done a no moh filename.wav, no multicast moh, no ccm-manager music-on-hold and enabled them in different orders but still no go.

Any ideas?

Scratch that! Getting a completely different issue...

This one voice gateway out of 5 is insisting on not loading the music on hold file, despite it being the same file used for all. This is what I'm getting by debugging ephone:

SkinnySetMohFilename set type to MOH_TYPE_INVALID for moh-group 0

SkinnySetMohFilename new MoH file MOH29022012.ulaw.wav validated at next HOLD for moh-group 0

SkinnyStopMoh with no active clients in moh-group 0

-------------------------------------

Skinny Music On Hold Status - group 0

Active MOH clients 0 (max 830), Media Clients 0, B-ACD Clients 0

No MOH file loaded

File play position 0 file type 0 current type 0

Play offset 0, Write offset 0,File start 0 end 2147483647

File buffer at 0, buffer size 0

RTP ssrc 0 timestamp_offset 0 position 0 reposition 0

Max process service interval 0 (last 0)

Min interval -1, missed 0 run 0 (us)

moh_process_service counter 0

Max Media process interval 0 (last 0) run 0 (us)

File system max access time 0 (us) (last 0) with late-reads 0

0 clients interrupt service, 0 process level

0 no-conversion, 0 a-to-mu, 0 mu-to-a

0 packets serviced at interrupt, 0 at process

-

Media Client Tx: 0     Xcode Tx: 0

SkinnySetMohFilename set type to MOH_TYPE_INVALID for moh-group 0
SkinnySetMohFilename new MoH file MOH29022012.ulaw.wav validated at next HOLD for moh-group 0
SkinnyStopMoh with no active clients in moh-group 0

When I do show ephone summary, I get the following:

-------------------------------------
Skinny Music On Hold Status - group 0
Active MOH clients 0 (max 830), Media Clients 0, B-ACD Clients 0
No MOH file loaded
File play position 0 file type 0 current type 0
Play offset 0, Write offset 0,File start 0 end 2147483647
File buffer at 0, buffer size 0
RTP ssrc 0 timestamp_offset 0 position 0 reposition 0
Max process service interval 0 (last 0)
Min interval -1, missed 0 run 0 (us)
moh_process_service counter 0
Max Media process interval 0 (last 0) run 0 (us)
File system max access time 0 (us) (last 0) with late-reads 0
0 clients interrupt service, 0 process level
0 no-conversion, 0 a-to-mu, 0 mu-to-a
0 packets serviced at interrupt, 0 at process

Any ideas?

Hey All,

I have this issue now. Any ideas 3-years later?

Unfortunately at the time I didn't get it resolved, but since then we have upgraded hardware and changed our design considerably and is working. However I don't have a solution for the original problem I had.

Sorry!
