Updating/changing the IP of the LDAP and DNS on Call Manager and Unity Connection

Hello,

Does anyone here on the forum have experience with updating the IP for LDAP and DNS on Call Manager and Unity Connection?  All that is changing are the IPs for the LDAP/DNS servers.  We are trying to find out how the changes will impact service and if a reboot is required?  Our version of Unity Connection is Software Version: Version 8.5.1ES92.14900-92.  Our Call Manager software version is System version: 8.5.1.12900-7.  Any info here would be very helpful.

Thank you.

Rgds,

Vicky

I assume you are referring to the DNS servers used by server (i.e. at the platform level, you have configured DNS1, DNS2, and a domain for lookup).  You can change those settings via command line; however, it will restart network and reboot to take effect.  If you have virtualized the servers, then it will change the license MAC and you will need to rehost the licenses.  Do the Publishers first on each application and make sure to check DB replication after applying the changes to all of the servers.
