upgrade from 4 to 7 via dma

having issue with my upgrade where during the 7 install after the dma file is successfully accessed it tells me that the upgrade has failed and that the server name and or ip address are invalide.

the message displayed attempts to display the value of the server name/ip address but only a "." shows up.

It goes on to tell me that this is invalid.

I have the usb key with the xml file on it inserted to the machine and it is fat32 as the doc states.

any ideas or suggestions as to why this is happening?

Manually insert the name and ip address for go the USB key.

I put it in exactly as it is on the existing 4.x server where it asks for hostname and ip address.

not really sure why thisis happening.

Tried it once with usb and once without.
