Re: Upgrade from 7.1.5 to 8

Hi,

I've finally received my licence for 8 and we're currently running on 7.1.5 which doesn't appear to support direct upgrades. Short of rolling back to 7.1.2 and losing any changes made in the last 3 months, does anyone have any ideas of an upgrade path to 8?

Hi Joe,

You are most correct my friend, there is no upgrade

path from 7.1(5) to ANY 8.0(x) version. The supported

upgrade path will be to CUCM 8.5 which should be released

before the end of 2010.

Thanks guys,

Given that the beta runs until the end of November, I'm not sure that FCS will be November. As for the upgrade I'm figuring a rollback to 7.1.2 and then figure out what I've changed since then . I really want to get CUPS 8 up and running to demo to customers (it's not the same in the lab).
