Upgrade to CME 8.6 with less DRAM/Flash

Hi Community!

I recently got a 2801 ISR 128D/64F,12.4(19) / CME 3.3.

I'm planning on upgrading this to CME 8.6 but there is a hardware requirement of 384D/128F for IOS 15.1.4M

I'll be using this just for my home lab, can i still upgrade it to 8.6 with its current hardware? would that cause me problem running few phones?

Hi Ramon,

I do not think you would be able to upload the new IOS .It would flash the message like "Insufficient Disk Space in Flash"

Hi Ramon,

I do not think so  u can do it with less DRAM since there is a huge gap between what u have and what is demanded.

you router won't boot giving the message "insufficient memory to boot the image ".

You need to stick to what IOS demands.
