Upgrading from 4.x to CUCM 7.x

Hi experts...Presently we are using CCM4.x and CUnity 4.x,now we are upgrading to CUCM7.x and Unity 7.x....what i need is steps to take all the user,phone,gateway...etc configuration from existing 4.x and configuring these taken backup config file to new 7.x...are there any step by step guide to migrate data to new server...same above query with unity connection.....friends and experts i need ur support and guide lines to make and run new server with out any fail...its really urgent coz i have to make it up on this weekend EST..when users come to work on monday every thing should be working as it was before using ccm4.x...i am reading all the documents available on web but i didnt find any document related to which i asked....i hope u got my point...hoping for quick reply...Thanks in advance..thank u....pls feel free to ask me about my existing and present server setup....

Thanks for ur quick resonse...but i already have these documents and right now i am reading them...what i want is taking all the phone,user and gateway config details and adding them to latest one in simple steps which will save my time inspite of adding one after one...and i will have time for troubleshoot....i hope u got me....

OK. Well, on the migration from Unity to Unity Connection. The first pre-requisite is that you have Unity 4.0(5) in order to use the COBRAS migration tool. If you don't have 4.0(5) and you need to migrate data, you'll need to upgrade to 4.0(5) before you can do that. Otherwise, you'll be doing a fresh install. Now assuming you can use COBRAS, you'll need to load COBRAS Export for Unity on the Unity server and choose the objects to be migrated. COBRAS is selective so you can select/deselect objects as needed. However, there are some things that COBRAS doesn't migrate so you have to rebuild those objects manually (or in bulk, where supported) on the Unity Connection server. Everything you need to know about COBRAS is here: http://www.ciscounitytools.com/Applications/General/COBRAS/COBRAS.html Read the help file top to bottom, then read it again. The next step is to install the COBRAS Import for Unity Conection tool on a laptop or server on your local LAN (technically, this could be Unity if it had to be). This requires some drivers to be installed first, then the import tool. The Help file will walk you thru all of the import steps as well. Before you get to this point, you need to get your Unity Connection server up and running and, if it's a cluster, make sure replication and server roles are configured properly.

CCM is fairly straightforward. You need to run the DMA (Data Migration Assistant) on your CCM server. If you have any errors or issues, you need to resolve them and re-run DMA before you proceed. DMA install requires that you reboot the Publisher server in the cluster as well. Then you need to copy that DMA file to an SFTP server so that CUCM can access the import file on the initial build. When you build the CUCM server, the installation process asks if you would like to import data from a Windows server and when you select yes - it will ask you for an SFTP or FTP location, credentials, etc to access the file. This is well documented in the links that Java sent to you. From there, you build the cluster as per installation docs.

Hi thanks a lot for ur great guide for unity connection....but I already installed CUCM7.x so now what I can do and how to do...and another thing do I need to configure gateway specially(new)for this new server or is it ok if I update(configure) of old gateway with new server....
