Outlook Web Dialer. You need to install the latest TSP on the user's desktop to use it with CallManager.

Go here and install this cool little utility. runs as an applet on the status bar, or you can use it as a softphone a softphone all together. download and install xmldial.exe, download outlook plugin and execute the .bat file via command line. It'll create a snap-in on your toolbar in outlook. Simply open contacts, browse to the contact and click on it, [no need to open it] go up to the snapin and click either homephone, office, or mobile. It'll pop up the softphone with the number entered, just hit dial.

You may have to register in order to see the downloads. I don't want to attach it because I don't deserve the credit for it.

Re: use outlook to make call

You install the TSP plugin from CCM on that client PC and configure the Phones and Modems to point to CCM CTI Manager, specifing the CCM user.

Take a look at this link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_configuration_example09186a008017902d.shtml

After installing the plug-in as mentioned in above document, follow the following steps from C:\Program Files\Cisco - ciscotsp.txt file.

For Windows XP:

From Control Panel execute the "Add Hardware" utility. Click the

"Next" button. Select "Yes, I have already connected the hardware"

Radio button. Click Next. Select "Add a new Hardware device" from the list.

Click the "Next" button. Select "Install the hardware that I manually

select from a list" radio button. Click the "Next" button. Select

"Sound, video and game controller" when prompted for hardware type.

Click the "Next" button. Click the "Have Disk" button when prompted

to "Select a Device Driver". Click the "Browse" button on the

"Install from Disk" window. Browse to

C:\Program Files\Cisco\Wave Drivers and select the file "OEMSETUP".

Click "Open" to install the Cisco Wave Driver and select OK.

Highlight the "Cisco TAPI Wave Driver" in Select a Device Driver window

and select 'Next'. Select 'Next' in "Start Hardware Installation" window.

If Prompted for "Digital signature Not Found" click on "Continue Anyway"

button.

When prompted for "Install from disk 1" for file avaudio32.dll, choose

Browse button and select path "C:\Program Files\Cisco\Wave Drivers"

and click Open to install the avaudio32.dll.

When prompted to reboot your machine, do so.

Re: use outlook to make call

Hi Sulabh, he's not asking how to use TSP, he wants to use Outlook as a phonebook and be able to make and receive phone calls. TSP only lets you dial out.

Re: use outlook to make call

Hi Ross,

If I'm reading this correctly his question is as follows: "Heard about something that outlook can use the address book to make call. Anybody knows that?"

Not sure if he's implying that he wants to receive calls too.
