Ok, since the SIP phones will be the primary endpoint for the end users, then you'll need Enhanced UCL.

Hi,

If the SIP phone will be the primary device, then you need Enhanced UCL. If SIP device will be used as an additional endpoint you can use adjunct licenses.

Hope to help, please remember to rate if it does.

Regards,

- Adrian.

Re: User connect License for third Part SIP IP Phones

Thanks Adrian for your contribution, But i need more clarification.

I already have CUCM with cisco IP Phones at the head office, and I used UC Manager Enhanced for the IP Phones at the head office. Now I want to integrate (install third party SIP IP Phones) other locations to use the CUCM at the head office but this time, i will use third party SIP IP Phones. Which of the licenses is suitable in this senario?

Regards,

Peter.

Thank You Adrian,

But forcost sake, can I still use Basic or Essential? Will it still work fine? Which challenges am I Likey to get?

Peter

Re: User connect License for third Part SIP IP Phones

Basic UCL are for 3911, 6911, 6921 or any essential device.

Essential UCL are for 3905, 6901, analog devices.

Re: User connect License for third Part SIP IP Phones

And Enhanced UCL will support any basic or essential device as well.

User connect License for third Part SIP IP Phones

What about a scenario where the customer is using 3rd Party SIP phone (basic) as the integration soft phone for 3rd party application? Is this still considered as primary phone? Customer mainly uses SIP digest credential for authentication purposes.

Thanks,
