I am running UCCX 9.0(2) and CUCM 9.1(2) SU1. I have 4 sites at the moment. The design is multi-site centralized, the UCCX and CUCM are located at HQ and I have 3 x sites (branches) that are connected to the Head Office via MPLS VPN.
I do have call center agents at all 3 sites and no agent at Head Office. I would like to know if I can use G.729 for all call centers calls for all 3 sites? At the moment, my codec on the UCCX is configured to use the default G.711 and all my remote branches regions are configured to use G.729 when talking to Head Office.
Will changing the codec from G.711 to G.729 on the service parameters on the UCCX and settings all regions to G.729 on the CUCM be a good design consideration?
