VG204 disconnection issues

             We have users complaining that our VG204s are taking 10 seconds to disconnect after a fax has been transmitted. Basically they have faxes queued up on a fax machine and when the fax disconnects after a completed fax it attempts to dial and send the next one that has been queued up. When thefax machine tries to dial the phone number is still tied up by the VG204 and it cannot call. It appears to take 10 seconds for the VG204 to actually disconnect the line once the fax has finished. Our fax machine assumes that since it has hung up, the line would be clear so it tries to dial a new number within a few seconds. We are looking for options to delay the calling on our fax but we want to know if there is also something we can code on our VG204 somewhere? Is this normal or is there a setting or command we should be adding to our VG204. In the call manager we have found nothing relating to this problem.  Thanks

Hi,

Have a look at the timeouts wait-release setting under the voice-port command.

voice-port 0/0

timeouts initial 60

timeouts interdigit 60

timeouts ringing infinity

caller-id enabl

timeouts wait-release 1
