VG224 - Analog Port - Get automatic busy signal

I am testing 2 analog ports through a VG224. I program two ports and assign dn's to each port. When I try to draw dial tone from either device I get a busy signal at the handset. I went directly to the punch down that terminates to the vg's and get the same thing.

Any ideas??

Maybe (have to gues as you did not specify), you're using MGCP or SCCP, and the device is not registered to CM.

Using SCCP. I do see the port registered to CUCM.

Do the SCCP registration checks on the VG224 too.

I do sho sccp on the vg and get the below results. It's port 0 & 6 that I'm using.

Maybe reduce the number of CMs to register to, or set priorities, or resynch cluster members

The idea being eliminating any

CCM_REGISTER_FAILED

I could set priorities, but this wouldn't have anything to do with busy signal, correct?

My thinking, and I can be wrong, is that the VG224 got confused by the registration failures, and unable to operate correctly.

You can try updating IOS if in the mood.
